easy as email: the Joomla Content Management System (CMS)
CMS will allow many individuals to be assigned user permissions. Depending on their role, they can create and upload content easily without technical skills and from any web browser connected to the Internet. The content submitted automatically and predictably appears on the web site in the section designated. To see how easy it is, view the 3 minute video we created for a client's team of novice users. You can also view some sample control panel pages by viewing this tour of a Joomla CMS demo site.

If a user has a lower level permission, an email is sent to an administrator for viewing, editing and approval. If appropriate and useful the administrator clicks a Publishing button and the content appears, headlines, images and all.
Easy to learn, easy to use
We believe using this system to add simple content to the web site is as easy as composing an email, but the "send button" places the text on a web page instead of an inbox. It is actually more similar to email than, say, creating a Word document. The interface contains familiar email and word processing icons and functions.
CMS invites participation and division of labor
A good CMS opens the web site up to contributions from even to least web-savvy team members. This allows talented writers and creative thinkers to participate directly. It does not require a third-party web guru to manually upload material and make an HTML code layout for each page of content and pictures.
Key features that make this possible are:
1. User registration and permissions
A hierarchy of administrators, members and contributors will be created to attach a direct sense of community to the site and the the client. Mass mail functions and newsletter subscriptions can be handled from the User Manager control panel. Here is where you build the powerful database of supporters and friends who will help you attain your goals.
2. Special features visible and available only to “insiders”
Contributor and staff menus, pages and features will be appear upon login, but not be visible to the public or those outside the groups created to use them.
3.Events and calendar functions
In addition to news items, users will be able submit events and venues which are posted on a sortable calendar. Registration software will be installed for more formal events. Trusted users may submit events immediately. Others may submit dates for approval and posting.
4. Installation of a flexible and powerful database
The CMS is driven by a MySQL database and all user personal information collected at registration is available for manipulation in MS Excel and mailing programs. In addition, all articles and news items created and submitted become part of the database too. Data stored in the database can be migrated to other database systems and can receive data from those systems.
5. Integration of social networking sites, You Tube and news feeds
Embedding videos will be easy and will not require technical skill. We will help the client learn how to include Twitter, Facebook, Digg and other portals in sections, articles and news items.
